The firm
Code of ethics
This code binds every member of the firm. Each records having read it when their account is activated, and is notified of any amendment.
Last updated on 20 September 2026.
Article 1 — Competence and diligence
A practitioner accepts only those engagements they are able to handle, within the stated timeframe and according to the applicable law. They decline or reassign any engagement they cannot serve properly, without that refusal needing justification to the client beyond the referral offered.
Article 2 — Scope of practice
The firm advises, drafts and supports, with due regard to the powers proper to each regulated profession. It does not provide court representation, nor acts reserved to lawyers, notaries or judicial officers.
This limit is communicated to the client as soon as it bears on their matter, and before any costs are incurred. No wording, on our materials or in our exchanges, implies a capacity the firm does not hold.
Article 3 — Confidentiality
Any information disclosed to the firm in the course of an engagement is confidential. This obligation survives the end of the relationship and the end of the practitioner’s employment.
It is enforced by technical means: partitioned case access, encryption of documents, logging of every access, and documented deletion once retention periods expire. Accessing a file one is not assigned to is a breach, even where it had no consequence.
Article 4 — Conflicts of interest
The firm does not accept an engagement whose performance would place it in a position of acting against a current client’s interests, or of using information obtained from one client for the benefit of another.
Any potential conflict is declared as soon as it is identified. Where established, the engagement is declined or returned, and the client is informed without disclosing information covered by professional secrecy.
Article 5 — Independence
An opinion does not depend on the size of the fee, the prospect of further work, or the standing of the person asking. An opinion the client dislikes but which is well founded serves them better than an accommodating one they will discover to be wrong before a court.
Article 6 — Honest communication
The firm publishes no success rates, no testimonial obtained in exchange for an advantage, and no client reference without written consent. It guarantees no judicial outcome — no one can.
Article 7 — Dignity and non-discrimination
The firm receives and serves those who approach it without regard to origin, sex, family situation, religious affiliation, health, disability or opinion. This requirement extends to its digital services: the accessibility of the website and the client area is not a comfort feature but the technical expression of this article.
Article 8 — Reporting
Any practitioner may report a breach of this code without fear of consequence to their position. Reports are recorded, investigated and answered with reasons.
