Vision, mission and values

Our vision

A Senegalese economy where legal security is no longer the preserve of large companies. Today a Dakar SME signs contracts no lawyer has read — not through recklessness, but because legal advice feels out of reach: too expensive, too slow, too opaque.

We work to make consulting a lawyer as ordinary as having a vehicle serviced: before the breakdown, at a known cost, without it signalling that something has gone wrong.

Our mission

To make the law workable for those without a legal department. That means three concrete things, in this order.

1. Understand the business before discussing the law. An opinion that ignores how the company actually operates cannot be applied, and is therefore useless.
2. Write texts that hold. An instrument is judged on the day it is challenged, not on the day it is signed.
3. Make progress visible. A client who has to call to find out where their file stands is a poorly served client, however excellent the legal work.

Our values

Rigour

Every opinion rests on an identified text, case law or practice, and says so. Where the law is uncertain, we write that down rather than deciding for you to be reassuring. A confident wrong answer costs more than an honest reservation.

Transparency

You know the cost before the work, the deadline before the wait, and the state of your file without having to ask. Three verifiable commitments, not an intention.

Confidentiality

What you entrust to us does not leave the firm. Case documents are encrypted, accessible only to those assigned to your matter, and every access is logged. Professional secrecy is not a form of words: it is a technical architecture.

Promptness

Every enquiry is acknowledged within 24 working hours, with a response date. We measure how well we keep that commitment and report on it: a stated deadline that is missed is worth less than one never stated.

Candour

We say what we cannot do. Where a matter calls for court representation or a reserved act, we say so and refer you on, rather than accepting an engagement we would serve badly.
